Traditionally, lead sheet has been used to cover roofs. Its use is visible in historical buildings throughout Europe.
It currently continues to be used on both roofs and to cover façades. It is most commonly used, however, as an accessory on roofs: hips, aprons, chimneys and other protruding elements.
In building construction, lead sheet is also used to water-proof floors in underground areas or the floors of industrial kitchens or parking structures.
